In most countries - peasants were forbidden to have any weapons of war, including bow. They couldn't really hunt too, as any land was in the possesion of some lord and hunting rights was special priviledge given to very few, none if which being of peasantry state.
Only very few places in the world bows were common and the only where there was also peasantry state were british islands. So it can be said peasants with bows would be a special, unique to one culture

Thanks endru

I also found this on google :
For the peasants, agricultural implements such as scythes, flails and pitchforks, plus clubs, knives and axes. Some spears and bows. One problem was the lack of iron. ... They tended to use regular weapons such as swords, spears and polearms, plus long pikes, and more elaborate forms of clubs such as the Morgenstern.

What I am saying is that they shouldn't be part of regular town defence. Maybe as a separate unit unique to british culture.

it has even more attack than a regular melee peasant...
range is ok, but attack should be reduced, maybe to 3, less hp(4 is ok)a mor fragile unit, maybe less speed(i just though some kind of logic situation, maybe the need more time to reload and aiming, even more importat, to reposition).
i dont think is a good idea making uogrades for 1 trn units...too op
just another peasant, better than stone thrower as ranged support...
if u make an upgrade for 1 peasant, u would have to make one for everyone, since its a random production...
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus...
AOD, a new variant...
