Current map editor bears are weak irl bears were much stronger than regular humans with swords especially crazed bears. They should have atleast more attack or hp than a 2 turn swordsman and not only 5 damage .
Stats by observing what a real life bear would be :
Cost: 0
Hp: 23
Att: 9
Spd: 3
Armor: 0/0
Sight: 3
Spell resistance: 100%

Re: Neutral bears balancing
Yes bears need to be stronger than swordsman and to give players a hard time at the early game cause of bears and wolves

1. Notice, that the base, smallest "thing" to command in this game is UNIT.
2. Notice, that many things in this game are vague representation (weapon graphics).
So the real question is - does a unit of organized military men would have a problem with some bears?
They can get some unexpected damage, but it's unthinkable to be a real danger to the very existence of a whole unit.
Imho - wildlife should not be a real danger. It should be an annoying obstacle at worse.
Of course - any map author can interpret the unit as a single man, thus the possibility to change stats of any single unit via triggers.
