I am all for new cultural expansions, but are you sure chinese units really fit with random production?
I could understand random if it were conscripts - chinese peasants, but anything including archers and cavalry would be regular armies, trained and equipped precisely.
Random production mechanism was introduced with roman auxilaries and it represents just opening the overall hiring- whoever comes we'll take in. If they were trained without random chance they would either be mercenaries (leaving) or costlier (more time to train).
