You must understand that current warfell in release version and current warfell in dev version are 2 completely different factions.
Like basic elves without any upgrades available at all and glades.
If you want a complete list of changes related to warfell than i can provide that.
Also yes they are not comparable to imperials but they are cheap and when combined with new crystals (which now have 60 turns cooldown and 0 action cost) this may become good replacement for core units (in place of basic units).
Especially if you will find and use some extremly awesome combinations.
For example if used right updated warfell pegasus knight may get 4 actions and when uses 1 for merciless thrust he will get 3 attacks with 68 attack power.
You can than use crystals to get speed up to 17 in total and no counter for 1 turn.
And you are saying that warfell will be still inferior to imperials?
For me warfell will become second most favourine in-game sub, right after upcoming glades.

I like most among glades new archer of glades and new double swordman (especially mounted forms).
Unicorn viligant when maxed (but without auras and other temporary buffs) will have 75 attack and 3 actions.
