I see no problem with pegasuses.
As for griffins — it is still more wise to use them since swans might be used for some other actual unit and to avoid misunderstanding.
Units are called «Pegasus rider» & «Gryphon Knight» so if they will ride swans/winged pigs/flying whales/wyverns/winged sharks it will not be right.
Not eastern slavic at least they.
Maybe western slavic — polish for example... Winged horses alas are presented in few slavic myths so i can say that pegasuses are somewhat slavic (alas since these myths are written by christian russian historican (at least the earliest scource about them) it is quite biased).
