If they aren't done than why have they been submitted?
Thebluephoenix i think you might need an update
I know why they are there, but how are the maps given to you if they are not finished (i see no reason to send a map without it being complete without contacting you beforehand, maybe they did this?)Daniel (the dev) wrote:hardeep: read this section and u will understand why they are there, and they are only for forumers who know why are they there.
(ghaul map was an exception i put that only for myself to see the progress of the map.)
With that being said, does this mean the other 0/0/0 maps i rated might be incomplete? How would we know?Hardeep wrote:I know why they are there, but how are the maps given to you if they are not finished (i see no reason to send a map without it being complete without contacting you beforehand, maybe they did this?)Daniel (the dev) wrote:hardeep: read this section and u will understand why they are there, and they are only for forumers who know why are they there.

It would be a very rosy suggestion, but i fear that many people would feel slighted no matter how we reject the maps.COOLguy wrote:I wish there was a way that we could contact the creators of the maps we are rejecting. I mean, yes there are plenty of horrible (and seemingly unfinished) maps, but we could tell them the reasons why the map will not be implemented as well as give them tips to make it better.
The gaul map is made by me and i had sent it to dev because i wanted to take dev's opinion on the design and units. I dont have any option of snapshot available on my phone so i sent him the incomplete map file so that he could see it. He can view a map only after implementing so he added it to the fan map section(i still dont see it there though)Hardeep wrote:I know why they are there, but how are the maps given to you if they are not finished (i see no reason to send a map without it being complete without contacting you beforehand, maybe they did this?)Daniel (the dev) wrote:hardeep: read this section and u will understand why they are there, and they are only for forumers who know why are they there.

Maybe they will feel slighted if it is phrased like that.Hardeep wrote:

I disagree. There is a reason that they sent the map in - they would like to see it in the game. So I think they would be willing to listen to and do a lot to see them in.Hardeep wrote:Some maps for example the 300 A Acensao emperio seem like they were just made for no reason whatsoever and i doubt creators of such blasphemous maps would care what serious mapmakers that want to add to the game have to say. And then theres the very likely possibility of hordes of maps made by the mentioned above mapmakers that really just have time to kill, and too few real dedicated or even intrigued players.
yes i already stated that this topic is absolute not about your gaul map, so please dont get any comment about maps as they were talking about your gaul map.The gaul map is made by me and i had sent it to dev because i wanted to take dev's opinion on the design and units.
Well i have a suggestion on the terrain, a lot of the things in the walled area are actually obstacles and would make moving very hard, i suggest you look under the "obst." Heading in mapmaker to identify the mentioned obstacles. Also i like deersies, but with such a great host of men they would habe been hunted for sport long before they formed ranks, just a minor tidbit. And shrubbery shouldn't float on water. The gaul map is made by me and i had sent it to dev because i wanted to take dev's opinion on the design and units.

I have reviewed the 'Attack on Whiterun' Map.
Scores:
Terrain: 1
Units: 3
Playability: 2
Trigger Use: N/A.
Summary: Map too large, almost no terrain, yellow team too powerful. Would not recommend.

Reviewed 'Pet Battle' map.
Terrain: 3
Units: 4
Playability: 2
Summary: An interesting idea, using only the scout units in a battle. Once the novelty wears off, it becomes fairly unremarkable.

The 'Sqares' and 'Star Of War' maps do not work. When I click them, I am returned to the menu. I can't even access the launch screens.

'The Legion Of Cecar' map does not work. I can't access it at all.
very good! thanks! i have sent him the complete post! waiting for the fix.SomeGuy wrote:I have reviewed the 'Jkirkian Uprising' map.
Terrain: 6
Units: 5
Playability:4
Trigger Use: N/A
Summary: A few issues, but good potential. Terrain looks pretty good, but too easy at the moment.
Completed in 9 turns, while you need 20 for a 3 star victory.
I suggest the following changes:
1. Reduce the number of assassins to 2 or 3.
2. Remove the holes in the road, the grass texture pops through.
3. Give the enemy a barracks or unit production building.
4. Use different rocks or other obstacles for the walls.
Other than that, It's good.
