I think that we should rebalance that. I am playing a game with pepe right now to test orcs in a game versus undeads. The game is pretty balanced (my orcs had a great start but undeads stopped my army even with an inferior number uf tcs, and we are in some sort of stalemate.
In the meanwhile pepe made vampires and i tried to kill them as soon as possible, but i found out that is impossible because, having no way to kill from a distance, i can't kill them fast enough, so he will attack me the next round regenerating them as new.
They really aren't overpowered but that would prevent me to finish this game normally cause i really have no way to kill them. If they wouldn't regenerate on counter i might be able to kill them in some rounds (i assume they can't gully heal in a single bite) and i could somehow finish the game.
I think we might do that or just make the vampire bite an active skill that heal much but only on their turn.

what orc can do:
- poison will eat him up slowly, and get from his way so he can not "heal"
- you can shoot him with fodder cannon shots (even orc archers - but i know u dont like them
)
- use buffed (+3/+3 double strike) warg raiders (they are having bonus against him) to kill him
this way a one warg rider single attack: (16+3+1) * 1,5 = 30 so a vampire will get 30-6 damage heals 11 so will lose 13, it has 40 hp so
- 4 hit will surely kill him,
- if he was in 39hp then 3 hit is enough.
so vampire is ment to be hard to kill, fortunately he will not have much vampires
(removing counterattack is weird, since by definition any damage he deals should heal him, maybe we can remove some armor if u all think)

You might lower armor and raise pierce to balance it
