Yes

They are in the concept of "scaled ones"

I think it might be a better way to make a good mix of unit that aren't just "lizardman warrior", "lizardman archer", "lizardman shaman", "lizardman spearman" and so on

The idea of scaled one seems even better to me. Maybe the race can be called reptilians?

Sure, also we should avoid using copyrighted names, so we can go for our own in some cases

Yes maybe tweaking a little will do if being entirely original is difficult though maybe not impossible.

We just need to add flavor; let's say:

An ancient dragon summoned under his control all the scaled races to form a powerful army to take on the human (or every other race) world.

The weakest are the kobolds, that act as servants for other race altough the strongest among them can enter the warrior caste and a few the shamans
Lizardfolks are the main spine of the army, they are mostly in the warrior caste with some in the shamanic circles
Snakefolks are a subtle race and they haven't just warriors but also subtle assassins and mages
Dragonfolk are those blessd by the blood of the dragons. They are like nobles for the other races and retain part of the dragonic power of their ancestors.
Crocodilemen are the big ones. Bigger and stronger than other races but slower. They move faster in water.
And we can go on with other concepts like ninja turtles and such :D

Yes sounds awesome. Maybe its a primeval dragon that once ruled the entire world and some ancient elders or something like a great hero etc sent it to the void/limbo but now it has returned for some reason and want to take its kingdom back and subdue everything again but due to the great ancient battle or spell that defeated it it's much weaker now though still very strong so now it needs an army as it cannot conquer the world alone any more. Just an idea.

I agree, this has become a pretty strong looking idea. I think we could do a lot of cool things with this. :)

The concepts should be like

Melee strong less than orc but more than humans
Speed like humans
Ranged more or less like orcs
Water units stronger than othe races

What do you think?

yes, lizards are faster than others, but other race mounted units are same speed to other infantry/ranged lizard units; Other Lizard Infantry or ranged same speed to other races' mounted units

I think lizardfolk should rely on more sneaky and guerilla style units (poisons, sabotage, invisibilities in water, etc) , with a low/weak abilityyto build strong armies like humans or undead.

Ok, ideas for first units:
Drake (cost:3/infantry) (the base unit. A bit more expensive but a bit more powerful than normal. I think most dragons should be like that.)
Hp 20
Atk 10
Arm/p.arm 2/2
Spd 3 (land)
Sight 5
Description: A small dragon that cannot fly or breathe fire, but can still be very powerful.
That one guy that disappears for 6 months then comes back and keeps doing it over and over.

Dragon queen (cost:4 worker/infantry) (it spawns a few buildings and also needs to be inside a nest for it to spawn units. I have an idea thats kinda like that: for each queen inside the nest, the faster the production is. So if there are two queens inside a nest, 2 turns will pass in 1 for production. Also, the queen is the only unit that can be spawned in the tc. The others can only be spawned in nests.)
Hp 12
Atk 5
Arm/p.arm 1/1
Spd 3 (flying)
Sight 5
Description: the queen builds nests and spawns various types of dragon.

Buildings:
Well for now i only thought of:
Dragon nest (at least one Queen should be in the nest for production to occour.)
Hp 30
Arm/p.arm 10/10
Sight 3

Its just that................ I don't like the concept of dragons being a seperate race, it seems strage for dragons for working together even though they fight each other constantly.
