Man Cather Polearm Infantry
Mostly anti-cavalry, have been used to capture people for a ransom, assassinations, ETC..
It's abilities are up for discussion, but I am planning something along the lines of:
-Castle only producable unit.
-Disables a units for a turn when attacks.
-Disables itself when attacks.
-Cannot counter attack.
-receives no upgrades
-Larger bonus than pikes, but less damage
-around costs 4
(?)Dismounts some units.
Ex: Knights become Broad swordsman and Archer horsemen become Archers.

Interesting idea, but I am not clear on how it would affect units like mamlukes and hussars...
The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.

Mamlukes could become a Saracen warrior, they do look the same. The hussars have a skull cap identical to the broad swordsman, so maybe they could become the same thing as the knights do, and lights should be normal swordsman.
Also Elephant riders would have to remain immune because they are expensive and the rider is way high up on an enormous beast anyways.

I think it is a cool idea, it would have to be a special though I think, not their normal attack.

Re: Man Cather Polearm Infantry
Effectively "freezing" one enemy unit for one turn sounds interesting though I am not too big fan of that demoting system (knight -> swordsman). Changing cavlary units into infantry ones sounds like a big pile of potential issues, with changing bonuses and so. Let's try that frozen units can't move, can't attack, can't use their skills (building, healing...). I am not sure if units inside frozen carrier should be allowed to go out or other units in, probably yes. Maybe frozen invisible units may get visible to all. Surely the owner of frozen unit should be able to kill it, though.

Okay Destros fair point.
I will get working on a beta image for this, it will probably look terrible. Not good at drawing humans or humanoids.

Re: Man Cather Polearm Infantry
Anybody know if I can use transparent black to shade the player colors?

No you cannot use transparent black to shade player color. The RBG of player color must be 255.xxx.255
Thanks!
