Backup and restore (Upgrades code) - IMPLEMENTED v0.9993

Post by Storgar »

My only concern with this game is that if you change phone or it breaks down then you will loose the game and all the hard earned upgrades.

Could you have a log code that relates to your account that you can click to send yourself an email. This will contain all the upgrades you have purchased and then you will be able to log in under your username and apply the upgrades code in the event of a reinstall.

yes. you are not the first mentioning this.

i will definitely so a save-load option.

actually i thought that would be fine to save to server any change of progress, but than i realized if someone uses 2 phones on same account then the 2 progresses would overwrite each other on server...

so this was my dilemma.

And what about if you can only save your upgrades and gems on the server?

actually, there was a topic about it, or I talked about it with Daniel (I can't remember which :D)
these are the main problems:

If it automatically backups, then AoS will require network connection, which is not a good thing...
If it saves when the player wants, you can view the whole upgrade tree without spending gems...

Oh ok, :D is it the case that you will just be able to see all of them, or would you actually gain the upgrades as if you had spent gems?

This way:

he gathers gems. save the game, then buy all upgrades in a row. then backuos, and then he will know what are the upgrades woithout spending a single gem.

Make it available only once a week then, or have the process time consuming enough that he won't think it's worth it.
Thanks!

Ok, I think I understand. .. I think it would be of more benefit of the game to show everyone all upgrades and add a backup and restore. (Just my opinion) :D

it is ready up on server , and Balint was wise: the upgrades can be cheated from now :)
(i will think of a solution...)

(i also merged the two topics talking about the same "save-load" option)
