Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
...with so many races available, and different upgrades for each race, isn't the upgrade tree going to become enormous in a hurry? Especially if new techs are added as time goes by and people come up with new ideas...I'm not trying to nitpick, i'm just trying to avoid potential problems in the future...e.g., if there are, say 60 possible upgrades in the tree, but only 15 or so maps available to play, it will be impossible to get enough gems to buy all of the upgrades...
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you're a fool than to open it and remove all doubt...

Re: probably a silly question, but...
yes, this is why wee need many campaign maps, and maybe in the first term halving or quartering the upgrade prices.

Re: Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
so, the cost wins with knockout.

Anyway. is it possible to separate the upgrade tree? I nean by races.
so you could chose what races upgrade you buy.
here a bit less complicated: the ipgrades woild be divided into E.G. 5 parts. every race has it's own part, and there you can buy the ulgrades belonging to that race.
campaigns will come. the lotr is under construction, the Game of Thrones is planned..
So there will be planty (Game of Thrones can hold 1-2 hundred maps..)

Re: Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
I imagine Daniel will break up the upgrade tree into several pages like in AoS...so each race can have (at first) 1 page for its upgrades with a separate column for different types of upgrade (unlockable infantry units, mounted units, structures, specialized equipment, special effects, etc.,...)...this should help solve the races' upgrades being separate, at least at first...
By the way, the tree can probably have unlimited pages, so he can add in pages as necessary as the tree 'grows'....

Re: Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
i plan to separate only the columns, 1st human, 2nd orc, 3rd elves and so on and repeating again and again.
Re: Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
I don't like that. it will limit the max races. ans there is a lot more race to be seen.

Re: Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
no, it will not limit it, any race can come in.
like this:
now it will be (example)
columns (1..infinity)
1: human
2: elf
3: magic spells (like convert, kill and so on as in AOS)
4: orc
5: human
6: undead
7: human
8: elf
...
and now if we got a new race i can mix it in, so with the example above i am inserting the dwarf:
1: human
2: elf
3: DWARF
4: magic spells (like convert, kill and so on as in AOS)
5: orc
6: DWARF
7: human
8: undead
9: human
10: DWARF
11: elf
...

Re: Upgrade costs vs. Campaign maps
