Re: Axe Knight (no bonuses)
Give 100% bonus vs
Archers foot
Anti archers foot
Infantry melee
Infantry anti cav
Healer, missionary, priest
Worker, laborer
Maybe give 50% bonuses
Vs buildings (since he appears Vikings, who were known for raids and since he has an axe)

Re: Axe Knight (no bonuses)
I don't think anyone in their right minds would pickup an axe and mount a horse with it.
But since axes are better for splitting than killing, 250% seige bonus works best and 50% for building.

Puss_in_Boots look at "Heavy cavalry" in wikipedia. Historically axes were best for dealing with moderately armoured infantry. Actually swords were barely used on horseback - mainly as anti-cavalry weapon.
On topic - most mounted units are already good at dealing with shooters. Make him unique. I am for +75% on siege (not enough for normal catapult) and +75% on normal buildings (to avoid 2-hit kill) +150% on fortified (18 dam to fortress - still worse than swordsman, but better than any cavalry ). Maybe additional cavalry bonus, but lesser - like +25%.

Re: Axe Knight (no bonuses)
Yeah I think I completely missed the fact that earlier tools were more modified (like battle axes) for comfortable combat than modern tools. It's difficult and inefficient to handle a modern splitting axe with one hand is where I arrived at that conclusion.

ok Endru you have the json of it, please set your and Stormsaint's suggestion in it (i think all bonusees can go to it meaning a normal cavalry against infantry abut good against siege+buildings too)
thanks!
thanks!
