First One (Spring '15)

Ok here it is:

Our two leagues will have their own league championship tournaments (meaning to discover number one in each league) The winners of those two championships will play each other to be crowned King of Strategy (the first one!!!).

the tournaments start on March 16 and end on April 2; with the King of Strategy games on April 6-11.

The schedule is: Yellow games - March 16-18; Light Blue games - March 20-23; Blue games March 25-28; Purple games March 30 - April 2. (The games that are the same color played simultaneously that is why I give colors)

The King of Strategy games (1st vs 1st, 2nd vs 2nd, 3rd vs 3rd, 4th vs 4th of the two leagues) are on April 6-11. They are played simultaneously.

How it will work: The "Open" games (marked in yellow) are scheduled to be played on March 16-18. I will need the results of the match by sometime March 19. Maybe y'all could post a screenshot of the results below. If a player cannot play a match in the schedule, it must be a forfeiture. Sorry.

The higher ranked player (the player on the top arm of the bracket) will set up the game according to the rules listed here: http://www.ageofstrategy.net/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=1325

This is the least bit of an honor system, so I need ALL of your help to make this work. But it's gonna be AWESOME!!!

That's too bad. I was wanting to avoid busyness.
We can reschedule the King of Strategy games to a week before or after? Does anybody have thoughts/votes on that suggestion?

Here's my thought: We'll make the King of Strategy games for when everyone who makes it can play. So Alex, if you make it, we'll change the date so you can play.

Whenever the tournament starts, inevitably somebody of the 13 members won't be able to be around, and I know we would like to have everyone playing, but if you try to do that before you know it you'll be into 2016. And beyond. Just get the first one over, and the people who miss it can do the next one. I know that this is kind of mean, but somebody has to say it. I'm okay for postponing a few weeks but a season is too much.

It may be easier to have a summer-winter schedule, and have more people, but yes, some people will have to miss sometime.

balint should have set one up. Your game is Open 1 of League 51. It will be in the normal multiplayer games section.

Announcement: we will extend the first round games an extra day (Get me the results on 20th) due to some mixups with it being the first time and all.

ok here is the announcement: Deadline for the Open games will be March 21 12:00 am GREENWICH time. Means: I would like the results by then. (who is winning by points)
But you don't need to worry that I'm rushing you. I'm nice like that.
If you need an extension of time to determine a winner just pm me. (or something so I know you are still playing and all that good stuff) We will all try to be considerate and have fun.
