Re: 17th century infantry marines
I told u about ranges.
The maximum range for infantry units (musket, rifles, carbines, pistol, etc) is 4.
Also, admirals were trauned for lidering naval battles, i dont like the horse. It could work for cavalry officers.
Even infantry officers were on theur own foots
7 range for the aura is very op and doesnt matter how stats will work, that is too much.
Also, here a list of structures
-barracks
-stables
-foundry
-shipyard
-naval academy
-military academy
-fortress
Generic musketeers and line infantry will be trained at barracks
Cavalry at stables
Elite infantry and cavalry at military academy
Marines, sailors and admirals at naval academy
About weaponry for these last units:
sailors will use sabers or cutlass
Marines will use muskets and rifles both with bayonet
Admiral will use saber/cutlass and a pistol (ability pistol shoot)
Also, sprites and stats will change deppending on the age

Re: 17th century infantry marines
Admiral stats are too op. Remember that at this era(17th century) soldiers didnt use armor (only some, and it was a courass for melee combat) so make infantry units with high pierce armor doesnt make sense. The pierce armor will be defined by tactics/role of the unit and its speed.
In that way an officer shouldnt have 3/3 armor. The melee armor is ok since they had deffensive capability.
Maybe 3/1 for admiral.
About the officer, the admiral is an officer, but i dont really know if there were other ranges
The images look great.
Maybe there is something else i wanted to tell u but i forgot jeje

Re: 17th century infantry marines
Nice, images look amazing!
I think the 'marine musket' and 'marine swordsmen' are good to go. I don't think the 'marine officer' unit is necessary to be honest, I think there might end up being more creative options for an elite marine unit, so lets leave this one out for now .
As for the admirals, I think having one aura unit for the marines would be great, however I did some research about the royal marines and such a rank did not exist there, it existed in the navy. Therefore I propose we change the name to 'Lieutenant Marine' or 'Marine Lieutenant' as I believe (from the small amount of research I did) that this is the highest rank in the marines that regularly took part in the fighting, though anyone who has better knowledge in this subject should correct me if Im wrong. Out of the sprites you made I think the one for the admiral with the cutlass and pistol looks the best for this role.
As for stats, as I said before, I cant help until there is a pilot version I can play around in
Thanks for the help!
