Will it work? I think few tattoos or pink scars on arm or chest is acceptable
Dont forget stone age men also drew on cave walls, so that can b used to utilize player colour

The image size will b 64x64 right? Also i m not sure if game engine can read transparent player colour pixels

If you are planning to continue this, I will tell you that will need to use the 64x64 format not 32x32.
Stratego don't accept 32x32 anymore.
Units can be drawn on 32px size but they should be group in a 64px like in AOW.

If a single caveman is this big then wat about tanks and spaceships? I say keep the last 32 pix size caveman but resize canvas to 64 px

What are you doing? Just make it 64x64 with 3 Cavemen in it smh. Just like AoG, AoMw, AoD etc, Since you'll take their images and put it into yours anyways.

I suppose it should be a Squad. Who would send 1 person holding a club to war?
Infantry should be 2 or 3 depending on what type.

Ok i didnt understand b4, anyways building size should not b compared with the limit of canvas allowed in game but rather with the size of each human unit u want to implement
Like make a building look like it is 2 storeys high relative to the caveman standing in the tile next to it, that way the overall of graphics of the game map will also look more beautiful if everything follows a standard size (set by u)

Rock Hurler? Is that a ranged unit for the nomadic units?
Image: The Rocks would look weird if it was moving, and the shadow seems a bit too large. Aside from those, it looks ok.

My plan is to keep it consume act on movement. So, i think the strangeness solved. 3 speed actually i planned. May be , balanced once the balancing starts.

He doesn't look that old. Probably give him a staff and a beard to make him look like the elderly. Team Color on some parts at the staff would work well.
