This might be a little late but, Can you make the gate to have a closed and open setting, enemies can go through in the open setting and you can only change the setting once per turn and assassins can change the setting?

just FYI...the "metal grid" is called a "portcullis"... :)

Can we make 1 unit stay inside the gate? That way also units with speed 1 might pass over the gates.

I don't think it is necessary - you can use wagons.

But maybe if there is a 1 garrison and not able to attack out of... that might be okay...

So maybe it would be more powerful version of basic gate? Stronger, can garrison 1 unit
