But we not forget about the handles a roman light foot scouts.
Here some updated ideias
Hp:15
Atk:5
Armor:0/1
Speed:4
Actions:1
Turns to produce:2
Range:1
Sight:6
Can be produced only in roman garrison
Bonus similar to swordsman but he have %25 more damage to only foot archers.

Actually, scout units at roman arnies were skirmishers and light cav with some few melee soldiers. Anyway, 15 hp is too much for a foot scout unit (light cav have 18?) Medieval swordman has 0/0 armor, so it doesnt make sense foot scout hvaing 0/1.
Sight and cost is fine to me. But a scout unit doesnt have an anti-biukdings role, so bonus similar to swordman doesnt make sense. Maybe 25% v foot archers and 50% v light foot melee would be more apropiate.

Make it a fully pledged skirmisher with bonuses but not so much p.armor

Or just make the velites an scout unit... or maybe a scout units pack, footmelee, ranged(velites) and cav...maybe it is too much...

How about make them velites light infantry with melee attack and stuff but give them ability to throw spear with skirmisher bonuses instead of archer bonuses so that they would act as light infantry but can trow a spear and also give him 4 speed to be able to skirmish and trow spear would have 0cooldown to show that he may attack in range or attack on melee whenever he wants tp make him look like light infantry/skirmisher type of unit

Mmh, i dont know if its possible give spell some bonuses... if its not, them it would almost useless because its melee attack shouldnt be too high.
Actually common skirmisher should have a melee attack, but since this is a game...i would just leave it with a ranged attack.

It's possible. There are already some spell with bonuses.
It's useless to make skirmisher melee. They would just get destroyed by swordsman.

Well, it looks great, beside we allready have a velites version in the game. We were supossed to make stats to include it in the game, balanced stats...it could be a skin or the default version and old one a skin

This is the topic, that should be revived to discuss hastatii, princeps and triarii stats.
Btw. I haven't even noticed velite new skin. It should be replaced and old one added to ancestors.

I wonder if there could be a unique trait of romans where if it's possible.
This roman units would have a timer modifier which if it ended they would upgrade or their more elite version.

i think not for now, its up to endru anyway...roman were not known by having a fantatic cav, so they relied on mercenaries and auxiliars

I tried to remake the hastati

I tried remaking Triarii
Now that I think about it, they're like just an upgrade of each other.
Since hastati is even used as heavy infantry. Wouldn't an idea of one single unit with upgrades a better for the Triarii, princepes and the hastatis.
Though, I would really like the idea of a timer modifier that would upgrade the roman units when the timer goes off.

It fits, since late empire used them. But if we add chariot for romes, we should add cheiroballista too...and idk if endru might want to add them mmmh

Hand Ballista said by Wikipedia.
It seems like a small ballista that was carried and used by foot.
