I think both units dying together is a bit too much drawback for a tech that costs 8 turns, so instead the garrisoned unit should live after chariot is destroyed, but some infranty units shouldn't b garrisoned
Here is a list of units I think shouldn't use chariots:
Samurai and hatamoto
Ashigaru units
Templar and knight templar
Teutonic knight
Healer and priest
Worker and labourer
Maori warrior
The list was mostly decided by my knowledge of which nations use chariots, so if I m wrong or forgot to add any unit, do tell

Only infantry should use it,I think all infantry.
If not, remove Celtic warrior,at least Brittany tribes used them.

Celtic did? Well they mostly fought in hilly and forest regions against romans in Scotland and wales area so I didn't think they could use chariots, but anyways I m removing it then

this should be a way to get players to use the chariot more often.

A tech that would make chariots harder to kill by adding 20 hp and more armor, the cost would be 6 turns and can be made in the blacksmith/ advancement center.

in small maps wen there are many contested towns between u and ur enemy, chariots are actually a better choice than light cavalry to capture those towns, i learned it the hard way wen my light cavalry proved completely useless because my opponent had first turn

Stats:
HP 30
Atk 10
Def 2/1
Everything else stays the same, also belfry's idea this upgrade unlocks carrying capacity
Carrying capacity: 1

chariots are too cheap for 2 capacity. 3 turns and they are kinda fast

Yes you are right their cost is too low for 2 opacity. could it be a upgrade to the heavy chariot?

spacious chariots tech
cost:8 turns
builder: blacksmith
spell resist: 100%
chariots get 1 carry capacity
carries melee and ranged infantry only (except healers and workers)
garrisoned units can attack from inside
if chariots die garrisoned unit also die

The garrisoned unit should only be ranged infantry because historically speaking the passenger was an archers. But in some cases it was the other way around.

I think its OK to have melee units too, because there is a risk if u send melee units in chariots forward and chariots die, u lose melee units as well

I don't think it's a good idea. The Egyptians and Babylonias both had archers on their chariots which proved to be deadly in battle.

The wei state used heavy chariots that made use of wheel blades and charged at infantry, besides archers, they also contained melee swordsmen and short ranged spear thrower since they had to fight in melee, so I say IT IS OKAY TO CARRY MELEE UNITS BESIDES ARCHERS AND THATS THAT, I don't want to unnecessarily make it complicated to implement this tech, and if chariots only carried ranged units it would make this tech clash with wheel blades tech that needs chariots to b used in melee

Wikipedia is not a good site to use when looking up anything historically. Why? Well anyone can post what ever they want. But I do see the idea, however this quote says.. "ARROWS AND JAVELINS WERE THE MAIN WEAPONS USED BY THE FIGHTER ON BOARD, WHILE A SECOND PERSON DROVE THE CHARIOT." Though this is the case in some tribes others were different. So I am with melee units on-board chariots.
