1. What does this "portal" do?
2. It's cost must compared to Space ship from original. 24 gems is cost of space ship and this "portal" thing must cost 24 or more.

Let's give it 10 gem cost. It's not as useful as the spaceship it just brings back junk from the first World War to a WW2 setting.

It can be bought by defeating 3 maps, and normal upgrade items costs 8 gems at most, so 7 might be too low.

First let's see about units from WW1. And after that let's talk about its cost.

I read about weaponary of USSR and i must say that most of small arms in soviet army (about 70%) were designed and implemented before or during WW1.
Also Soviet army used several times cossacks for sudden attacks (they had rifle, sabre and (1-3) Molotov cocktail bottles). And Molotov cocktails were also designed during WW1.
Only artillery, tanks, air forces were dramatically improved after WW1 in soviet army. Small arms were improved only through the WW2.

What dose that have to do with this?

I don't know about other armies because i only studied about USSr army.

But at the beginning of WW2 about 70% of small arms (as mencioned above) were designed before or during WW1.
Molotov cocktails were designed during Russian civil war and grenades were designed in 1922-1925 years (several designs)
For example Mosin rifle was designed at 1891 and at the beginning of WW2 about 80% of rifle divisions (and they were at the beginning of WW2 most common infantry type in USSR, about 95% of all divisions were rifle divisions or anti-tank rifle divisions) were equipped with it. It was also most mass rifle in the history of Russsia and USSR - It has been made more than 37 million (>37'000'000) Mosin rifles and it was prodused 'till the middle of 1965.

And cossacks' last mounted attack (on horses) was in may of 1944 - they closed one of pockets with nazi. They were also armed with Mosin rifle, specifially designed for mounted forces (she was lighter for about 1,5 kilogramms and has 10 patrons magasin size instead of normal 5, but it was harder to recharge it).

During WW1 Russian army had no tanks, really old naval fleet, which after was lost during civil war or to German, France and USA interventionists.
And Russian air force during WW1 was really low (for the whole war it was constructed about 60 airplanes and 8 was before WW1, they were REALLY slow and were really easy shot even by normal german rifles)

By the way granads were used in 1700s!

They were different construction and each had weight about 3-5 kilogramms.

What changed your mind so drastically?

Price of 11 gems is fine. 3 campaign missions are enough to buy it.

I thought it was a World War one unit which isn't useful against World War II tanks. We should have more modern like stealth bomber or Marines, only when fun units are on.
