No i agree with cool guy many a times i have fought multiplayer games with different ppl and hv seen that quite a few ones tend to promote one player more by providing him with natural protection or near by tcs. I thought of making a topic also on it

Lol no, I'm friends with the developer.

That's why.

You could handicap some inexperienced players on these maps too, like giving them a good position to even the playing fields. You could even have a 4 v 1 where one guy has a castle and the others must work together to take it down.

Yes, that is also cool. Or even set up a map of ranged units vs. cavalry.

poor Daniel is not yet immortal

Hopefully soon, but there are many things that he is working on.
I also would like to know if this is on a short to-do list (but no pressure to hurry, Daniel).

i am not sure when, but i see it would be cool, i hope in 1-2 months if it is clear for me in every aspect.
what is not clear for me a first glance
- how to defend rookie players to enter a trap of a Bet-multiplayer scenario ("MPS") game that was set to make him lose for sure (so unbalanced).
-- or even a non bet game: he join 2-3 such games and will never go to multiplayer ever...
-> or would this be an audited stock map only? (compiled by me) - or the game creator could setup the map before creating and launch or joining?
- also not sure on creating and joining which game setting (visibliity, enable upgrades, player race...) is modifiable this case or not.
- also not clear where in the menu it should appear (i mean from multiplayer games? and you press "create game" in the mupltiplayer listview and asked about Random/MPS?)
- also not clear a joinable game should appear in the list of open network games or in a separate list.

I think that this kind of scenarios should already have set squads.
If a player is meant to be in a position of advantage he shouldn't be able to ally with the other players.
anyway a player can always check the ally details before joining a game

There should be some indicator for difficult that shows how hard is start of map for player.

I personally imagined it would be set up like the single player campaign's (ie, not editable and sent to Daniel by users before publishing) so he would be able to check that maps are not really unfair.

Yes, I agree that all should go through Daniel. If there are any that are unfair it should be clearly stated which has the advantage.
Another way could possibly be to have all maps on reveal and let the game be view able before joining.
-I think that these games should be in a separate list from the Random Multiplayer games. Maybe "Skirmish Multiplayer" or something.

First and foremost: thanks Dan for feedback
I wanted it so I know it's worth building up the idea.
Yes, multiplayer skirmish section. When you press "quick join" you should be sent to a waiting list, which, when it reaches the same size as the map requires, will begin the game.
However, there should also be options to start a private waiting list, you are given a short code, and to join one, where you must write that code. Eg Bob wants to play Jim in a game. Bob creates game, gets code DF8. Jim writes that code into the input, and joins the game.
Or you could just have a separate section of multiplayer for these games. (maybe you would still have quick play and create games from the skirmish section)

Custom multiplayer games

I think it would be great to have this. Make a map, skirmish or not, and then set some players to multiplayer instead of human or an AI. This could make some really interesting online games. If this stands a chance of being implemented it will probably be after the map maker's out of the beta but this would make multiplayer games much funner for me, and probably others too.
P.s This is my first post, sorry if this is in the wrong place or if i did something stupid.

Lol, seeing these ancient photos of the old maps makes me realize just how far this game has come.

Yes please! Can I be my home country of The Netherlands, pretty much fighting with cannons taken from a museum and muskets from the napoleonic era?
I wonder what the AoS equivalent would be... one archer and a swordsman protecting a barrack seems about right

You might want to get a group of volunteers to do this or something, to prevent an overload of maintenance on AoS from implementing new features

For all all games, could we get the ability to design scenarios and send them to friends, to play games with triggers, preexisting units, and defined positions in multiplayer?
