This topic is cool and useful,but there might be a big minus of it - it can reach forum attachments limit really fast. Dunno if there is a better way to have all images at one place.

There isn't. Putting them in [img] thing people wouldn't be able to edit them. It's also time consuming and i don't get the benefit of having the images. It would be like ya gallery

nice collectiong, my suggestions:
a) use this form of image linking so u need no upload again and u will not use double space : will result this

we use this linking techique on Hall of Fames topic.
u can get the link by right clicking on an image and "copy image link to clipboard"

b) also please use your first post as a collection, so put there most of the images, if gets too much(i mean > 100 in one post), than use a second post, this way this topic will not have 1000 posts that will be never read tru by others, but if u have 3-4 posts full of these images would be cool


also i can send u all filenames, id-s and filesizes of all images on forum (approx. 5500 images) so it will be a few quick textfile oprations to generate imagelists like this:
i made it in 1 minutes from that xls list i can send you this is the first few by filesize,
- i made the link in xls by making 3 columns: linkpart1, fileid, linkpart2
- copied the 3 columns to a texteditor (textpad)
- i have removed all TAB-s by replace function (use \t for tabs in textpad, turn on regular expression checkbox)
- i have removed all newline characters by replace function (use \t for tabs in textpad, turn on regular expression checkbox)
and TADA! the links to images aer ready
- naturally u need to ilter out images that are bot unit images
