OK. Btw, i'd make the ancient of a lighter color and make a silver dragon for elves and use the green dragon for orcs

i got a headshot that all dragons could be moving ones - they will be rare units do i think will not be irritating.
what do you think?

here is my next idea maybe for orcs or humans.

ok, i have put all dragons into game, however they are available only in mapeditor (since i did not configure the mages/wizards to cast such dragons.) but u can check them via the mapeditor, and try them via the edited map.
and their stats are also random values.

some of the dragond could have special breaths as attack (or only attack options, with even cooldown - like on casing abilities)
pleae give suggestions on enything images/stats/special abilities/and the ways they can be casted TC production/mega-building productions, casting, casting with vanishing effect, casting with sacrificing other units and so on (can be - and should be - different among races how they produce dragons)

(pink parts are for team coloring.)

Iam about to give them properties and sources of production:

Undeads (they are controlling their dragons):
- a new necromancer unit can summon a dragon from skeletons (eg. from 3 human skeleton), player can control the dragon.
- the lich can also reanimate a previously living but killed dragon skeleton.
- melee attack high
- fly 4
- ability: low damage poisoning breath (range 3)

Elves:
- they can control the dragons: in the Great Tree can produce a dragon (with 3-5 vanishing), and player can control it.
- fly 5
- only melee attack

Human:
- they can control the dragons: in a new building, or a new unit can produce/summon a dragon (with 3-5 vanishing), and player can control it.
- also the dragon can not fly (walk 4)
- big melee attack
- ability: big area damage, fire breath (range 3), cooldown 2

Orcs
- they can NOT control the dragon: a new unit can summon a dragon by sacrificing 4 adjacent orc units (every eg. 6 turns, or with vanishing 7-9)that has the player's coloring BUT CAN NOT be controlled, the dragon will attack by itself searching all enemies around!
- only strong Melee attack
- fly 3

Look great! But how would the undead dragon fly? It is just a heap of bones.

the image is a flying one - is it confusing?

What do you think about the dragon masterer approach?
Not for undead though. I like it because it means that the wild life has more of an impact on the game and in reality, you can't just train a dragon out of nowher.

No, its not confusing as such. But although the image is of a flying dragon, I cant see a reason that the undead dragon would be able to fly. In order to fly it would require flesh on its wing's. But it is just bone. (Im probably explaining it wrong)

Hahha! Maybe, I suppose it is fantasy. (Ive gotten to use to making things accurate for AOS ;) )

yes, it can not be that "accurate" or if u ment: "realistic"

Necromancy is magic. If you start to question magic, everything in this game is unrealistic. If skeletons can walk, surely dragon skeletons can fly...

I'd make humans without vanishing (they have dragons because they train them)
For elves i'd make dragons like a nature ally that work alongside them
