With the camouflage, he should be invisible until he attacks or moves more than 2 tiles in one turn...movement draws attention, after all...

Maybe instead of 'backstab', he could have a poison attack...poison was used widely by ninja....

...just some ideas...

I like them. but backstab was used mainly.

Ok so here's the idea:

A unit which is not particularly powerful, however, they can move through enemy lines. they cannot end their move on an enemy space, however, they can move through enemy ranks to hit important strategic targets like healers. They can also move through towers and walls and other buildings.

Cost: ?
HP: 18
move: 4
attack: 10
armor: 0
pierce armor: 0

Here is a rough draft. Any other ideas? Perhaps he could have evasive abilities or be invisible to some things, like an assassin.

this won on vote but: it is not clear for me which ninja version was voted (balint version or Doomcarrots), and also stats are not clear. so please summarize the suggested unit in one post -thanks.

I think the ninja should be
Cost 4
Hp 18
Speed 4
Attack 5
No armor
sight 4
Spell resistance 100%
Range 1
Special things.
1. Move through enemy units and buildings
2. Shuriken throw- gives ninja 3 range for 1 turn
3. Backstab- makes ninja's attack to 12 for 1 turn
50% bonus against all infantry
Archers and knights have 50% bonus on ninja

I think at ninja should have ability to move through enemy buildings and it should be invisible for all units except scouts and watch towers if they see ninja, ninja get visible and it can get invisible by going off enemy sights range.

Stats

Cost 8
Hp 25
Power (have four attack types, normal attack power 8, poison attack power 1+poison, burning attack power 20+burning only againist buildings, shuriken range 3 power 4)
Range 1 (except shuriken)
Speed 4
Armour 3/3

I think DoomCarrot's stats are better with a cost of 3. But the image should be baliant's ninja.

Sorry I completely forgot about these. :) I don't know about the stats, but I like balint's image. No offence, but it was here first and that was the one I had in mind when I had voted for it. I guess I somehow was temporarily unaware of there being a double. :P

Hmm, I like the idea of the ninja having different attacks. I also think we can all agree now that he should be able move through buildings, not sure about enemy units. And I like the idea of him being invisible like an assassin.

And no offence taken coolguy, that was like my... 2nd pixel art ever made, it was more for fun than anything :)

So the ones who can see the ninja are:
Scout Tower, Scouts (Dog and Eagles), and units near or 1-tile close to ninja (Just like on assassins)
This ninja will also increase the value of scout tower (Since it cant attack like other towers).
I agree to this unit, it should be put in castle :D
Also I want the samurais vs ninjas match. (Fite! Fite! FITE!)

Hmm, I like this idea instead of all towers being able to see him. It actually gives scout towers a use :)

This will give priority against all constructions. As they start to build one scout tower, it will be like:
Player A(1): Aflak! An army of ninjas!
Player B(1): Its damn too late!
Player C(2): Its player D's turn, Gr8 m8 i r8 8/8 8-)
Player D(2): :lol:

I suggest he needs some good attack power as they were skilled killers with blades made to slit anything. Maybe add a collective damage on all tiles about it as ninjas were able to handle many enemies together. Wat say??

I saw them but they did not appeal to me very much maybe because they dont resemble ninja quite much( remember snake eyes from GI joe) :)

Patroid, i like the one with two unsheated swords but i think you might make them longer and straighter. After all the usual ninja-to is depicted as a straight and one edged long blade.

What happened was that the ninja had two images and multiple stat suggestions. When we voted it in a while back, Daniel was not sure which idea had been voted. This was partly caused by reckless posting without reading previous posts, and also out notorious inability to finalize things: we are always trying to make ideas better. :)

But if we can all agree to a final image and its stats, I'm sure we can get it implemented for the next vote.
