I think in this game ships and navy should be a lot more important than in AoS. So i think most ships should have 1 carry capacity, cog and upgrades should have more. Maybe some techs will increase carry capacity for some ships?

If what you say will be the course of the game then it will be opposite.

Cog would have less capacity than the bigger ships like carrack

Cause in AOS transportation ship only have one capacity "BUT" can carry catapults, cannon and such.

For one, im only offering suggestions, you can say you disagree and offer an alternative,

I think ships meant for transport should have most carry capacity for balance, not for realism. Whats the point of creating cogs if carrack will be stronger faster and have more carry capacity? It will have very limited use.

On another point, bigger ships would have larger crew, and the extra space would be taken up by food storage, sleep areas, ammo, armaments, cannons and so on.

Alternatively we can balance this by giving cogs lower carry capacity than large ships, but make then super cheap, idk up to you

This is just an idea:
-cog: 4 turns, 3 carry capacity
-galleot: 4 turns, 1 carry capacity
-galley(war galley and small frigate): 4 turns
-galeas (frigate): 5 turns
-carrack (galleon): 7 turns, 2 carry capacity

Cog has more c.c. for gameplay balance
Galeot will be almost useless(like transport ship in aos) at naval combat
The ao games were never 100% reallistic

for me it looks good for now, we can make it completely balanced later :D
now i think giving all boats carry capacity might be a bad idea.

Earlier i posted boat upgrade tree, do we agree on it for now? If yes then galiot and upgrades(galley and light frigate) should be quite fast and okay at combat, other than that i like it

Well, I don't really want it to be realistic. Like I said it's what is in AOS.

I agree with the last one but allthough they would have lesser capacity they would be able to carry bigger units like knights, wagons and units that is inside the wagons. They will be also cheap like what L4cus said.

Here is Frigate, i think i will do image for War Galley or Light Frigate tomorrow

Im quite happy with this one

About stats, i like them a lot :D

A few changes i would make is carry capacity 6 on caravel is a bit too much i think, they were actually quite small ships at the start. Also, looking at the stats you have given galliot compared to galley,it seems very weak. Weaker bonuses, hp, attack, speed but same cost, maybe a few changes are needed here

I was thinking about giving the galleot musket ball attack instead of cannon balls
Their upgrades will be cheaper and fast galleot will have 5 speed and gets 2 light cannon shots vs 1 cannon shot from galley and its upgrades

Also thinking about a bord cannon tech to produce galley and the others. But this is maybe too complicated. I wil just let this idea here anyway

Now galleot has more hp, less attack, less mend rate, but 1 more action/turn

Heres the rework of Galleon. Since I cant make it longer than the carrack without using the AOW ships I decided to just readjust things to make it look bigger.

I didnt wamt to give it a huge carry capacity since it is not a transport ship, thats not its role.
Carrack is even bigger and has just 1 c.c.
