Guys, I just want some opinion about the Fort Sennivile. About the 4 towers if it. In one picture it has a roof while in the other it looks like I has flatforms. Which one would you think would be better?

I think you misunderstood my question. Which should be done for the tower tops. The ones with roof or the one with just flatforms?

Moved the village here.

((1)) A Village this can produce only peasants and Can be Upgraded to a factory or defense post
Consumes the Village.

Factories: 3 - 5 turns
Defense towers: 2 - 4 turns

((2)) A normal village :

Can be occupied
Produces only peasants/militias ( forced to go to war )
Cannot be upgraded.
Can research:
Town patrol
Tight fabric

Pls choose Between 1 & 2

I like the second one. But we shouldnt just throw away the first option. I mean, is is a good idea too.
My suggestion would be to keep the 2nd idea. When u get at "Discoveries Era" then u can upgrade it.
Also, it should be cheap (3 turns) and the upgrade to a factory shouldnt be that expensive (it wouldnt be viable)
Also, some techs like town patrol or tigh fabric could fit on it.
We could leave this for later?
Its a very good idea, but is kinda not a priority

Or

You start with one town centre, but instead of town centres, the map spawns with these. Then you can choose to keep them as villages(can produce only very basic units and techs), or upgrade them to town centres(this would be quite expensive). Just a thought.

But like you said, we can come back to this later as it is not a priority.

Sorry, guys. But i think better to add manufacture, and then add its upgrade to factory, using tech start 19 century...

I was thinking about make it a factory...similiar to original aos castle...but it only can produce "fortress garrison" special infantry that becomes extremely good fighting next to fortress (fortress would have an aura effect)

That aura sounds interesting. Maybe something to think about more

Also, lets not make the same mistake as AOS, giving mega buildings lots of special, cool units, but make one so powerful (trebuchet) others are never created. :D

This aura might be as officer aura or as defense aura (when unit at fortified Tc

Brit Command

A unique aura that encourages nearby units moral to defend their Fortress.

+3 attack
+1/1 armor
+40% mental resistance

Very nice :D

Also castles went out of fashion in the 16th century and were replaced by artillery forts, so I'm not sure if castles will be very useful, maybe at the start of the game, and take extra damage from siege cannons

Actually, it could be its role...to be replaced by star fortresses
