Human fire archers: copy elf version, human upgrades only. This means it has a maximum of 6 range, instead of 9, since it gets +2 from upgrades and doesn't get outpost or eagle eye.
Given that their towers/castles cause fire though, they may turn op against undead anyway.

Lol I fought a game against patroid last year in which I was human and he was undead. Patroid held about 3/4 of the map, but I had an EXTREMELY fortified position (we are talking like 3 rows of walls with fortresses in between and castles inside). We spent about 30 turns fighting with no headway. Undead were simply unable to penetrate the defense, and I did not have enough actual troops to leave my fortifications and survive. That game made patroid pish for gargoyles to be implemented.
Not sure if gargoyles fixed such a situation, but it was the first “draw” game I ever had

When did you have the time to build three layers of fortification?

There were 2 other players, and patroid decided it would be easier to defeat the elves north of him then try to break my human walls.
So he spent half the game wipin out the other two weaker players and saved me for last, but by that time I had built up massively and basically used every space I could to build fortifications of some type

Trust me, gargoyles weren't a fix for it. You would have just brute force killed them. I'd actually say you could have built catapults and trebuchets to slowly clear a way out though.

Also, elves need wagons, because there some units are fast, but some are too slow, for example, ent demolisher, and ent

lol if ents were fast, then elves would have no weakness.
Right now their main weakness is how difficult it is to get good melee troops in action a cavalry rush or a few headhunters can cause elves many turns of pain if it catches them off guard.

True, if elves had fast and powerful melee units they would have basically everything, they'd need just some more fortifications and they'd basically be super overpowered humans.

You fail to understand, the ents ARE the elves fortifications
Living, breathing, walking fortifications. Like bone towers.
EDIT: just realized undeads aren't actually living or breathing.

I'm sure the undead are half dead, half living, half something.

Lol ent warriors are decent walls, but they only hit in melee. Great for holding a tc though. Ent demolishers..... well, I've noticed they tend to be useless. Too slow, too low range, and not enough damage output to justify their accuracy issues.
I've also mentioned a few times, elves are powerful only if you know what you are doing with them. They reward careful handling exceptionally well, but aren't exactly forgiving of mistakes you make.

Yeah, elfs need skill, but well used can be really powerful. I,personaly, cant use them really well.

I used to main elves but eventually passed over to orcs, their play style fits me better. I can play elves at least decently but I'm pretty sure people who main elves are much better.
Also I partially agree about Demolishers, they're almost 100% useless, I only ever make them when doing a siege vs. humans, since regular ents will have a hard time approaching the castles before being toasted by fire arrows.

Did you ever get a demolisher to hit a castle? Not enough damage output for the really low chance it gets to attack. 2 fire archers hitting a castle pretty much doom's it if no workers are nearby.

Fire archers are better at taking down castles then demolishers.

True, but that's the only use I can think for them.
If it at least had higher damage and AoE effect like catapult it'd be so much better.

Fire archers also good to fight all Troll units and undeads.
All troll units are vurable to fire damage.

That is basically what makes fire archers superior to demolishers in every way.
Better range, better speed, better at taking down buildings, better at taking down troops, some of the best troops in the game for taking down trolls and undead...
The only thing demolishers have going for them is their durability. But who cares when archers are fast enough to stay out of harm's range most of the time.

True, not to mention they are less expensive than the demolishers.

Cheaper, faster, stronger in first turn damage on most worthwhile targets, more long term damage, longer range late game, plus it gets dodge. What area is the demolisher not weaker, besides a handful of hp?

That's a question for Daniel to answer. I'm waiting for wolf dens and phantom units too.

We have been waiting for weeks, or months. Can't really tell.

Well, implementation seems slow judging by the changelog and the amount of time I spent off and only several things got changed when I came back but nothing too big. I actually expected to find major plans such as dwarves implemented by now. If they aren't it probably means Daniel might be really busy or something.
(just as a side note: merry christmas / happy holidays everyone!

Ehh. The sad fact is we can't force Daniel to continually work on this 24/7. He's gotta have a job, eat, and sleep like the rest of us.

Can't Daniel make a jsons of himself, so he could spend his time at home while his other self J.D will work on the games.
On the serious side, is there any way to speed up the process? Like we can help?

yes, if anyone can help me assembly the jsons on new units and finalized images and so on - that is a speedup.
(
but on the borderline i must mention: a wrong json takes more time from me than making it myself

this is why i wait for the ones who will be capable of using the "modding" version, where all jsons can be tested before sending me - and you can test out 10-20 units at a time, or complete races at a time an sending me in one pack to build in
)
but anyway i plan to publish the current dev version (AOF + AOS) this night or tomorrow.
