On the serious side, is there any way to speed up the process? Like we can help?
That's better than my idea. I've often considered finding him and locking him in a basement with food, coffee, a bathroom, and a computer + tablet for a while so he can focus on making games. Unfortunately, I don't think he'd be happy with me for it.

Don't worry, after a while. He might even fall for you, I think they call it Sherlock syndrome.

Stockholm syndrome, actually. And I wouldn't want that. It would be just to give him limitless time to work on the game

more like "enslaved programmer" is the idea lol
Don't worry, this is just a measure of how much we like the game

It has been three days waiting for MikeyHUD to respond to his next tourney game... should menselot take a pass on it?

Wise man once told me, take a pass. Either that or he was talking about a bus pass.
I think it's time to skip him.
And a enslaved programmer, a bit too low. He should be treated as that King, but not too much. We don't want him to become lazy do we.

Well, Sunrise did say feed him. I assume he could be fed kingly rations of roast boar and only the finest and most rare ale from the alemesiter's guild.
Even then though, we still have the issue of morality, refuting of freedom, and enslavement..... Hmmm...

Daniel is a formidable opponent. After many turns of minor skirmishing, he has taken the initiative to launch an all out offensive. This appears to be the deciding battle, and a clear victory of one of us now will probably provide sufficient momentum to wipe out the remains of the other. This turn is probably going to take some planning.
On the east is his invasion force. To the west, he guards his tc with a few golems. Not a good offensive army, due to vanishing, but enough to discourage a counterattack right now.
Middle of my turn right now

Both need to be aware, since one big mistake can cost you the match. There is a strike of undead knights, try to hunt them soon, with sentinels and elven spearmen

Both seem to be somewhat in balance, but one slip up from either side could cost the match indeed

Well, I think that turn went well for me. A wall of ents and wolves now blocks the remaining knights from getting anywhere this turn, and approximately half are burned to a crisp. Unfortunately, I get the feeling that was a bit TOO easy. I can't help suspecting he held back now, and I'm going to get an even worse attack now that my defenses were tested.

Got ahold of MikeyHud. He doesn't have the time to play, so I'm putting him down as withdrawn. Brackets have been updated for his next match, plus his redemption match as forfeits.
These matches can now begin
Menselot vs Doomcarrot
And
Midonik vs General Brave

Mmm I'd say you have to ask Midonik. I'm not exactly opposed to race changes, especially not when it follows a loss and you feel you might do better with a different race, but your opponent needs to agree.

Daniel has elected for a costly retreat, finding his cavalry blocked by an impromptu wall of ents that weren't there before. Of course I had to punish the effort, so I gave chase. Using my newest upgrade in bow construction, I've actually taken a few potshots at workers now within my range, and continued removing the offending army so it can't regroup and come back too easily. Hopefully I can continue this counterattack into victory, though it may take a little while.

Looks like Daniel is learning what I did when I played against you with undead vs elves.
Undead have terrible range units. Elves are pretty much invincible unless you can kill the druids/wizards to break through the wolf/ent walls and kill the archers
The only unded unit which can do this is the death knight. With a threat range of 11, it can easily strike the wizards/druids and usually kill many other troops with its fireball. Fire archers are a massive waste of points against death knights as well, because they do not burn.
Daniel has no dark alters. (EDIT: found one)
Had he led his attack with 2-3 death knights, and fireballed the druids and wizards to oblivion, he could have swept throuh your archers with his horde of knights, and one or two liches could have raised a massive army at the end of his turn.
When undead fight elves and elves use the strategy you are using, death knights are IMPERATIVE. There is literally no other way to win against a competent elf player, as far as I am concerned. I learmed this the hard way. Looks like Daniel might too.

General is password to our game.

And that, Doom, is why I switched to orcs for our game. I saw that too, and until I can develop a proper defense against it, I don't know if I have much chance against you in elves vs undead. You may have found a rather overpowered strategy, honestly.

Yeah, Death Knights are the only thing that stops Elves from trampling Undead basically. Archers won't do much against it (which is a big disadvantage for elves already) and even the ents won't be much of a match against it in melee. The only possible way I can imagine to take down one with Elves is maybe to do some Dragons and Ents and attack him with them all at once. Dragons have good attack and so do ents so unless the Death knight wastes its fireball to burn your attackers (which he could use to take down wizards and archers instead), he will probably not be able to fight back much. Dragons might be especially effective, I think, since they take 1 damage on melee and undeads' rangeds aren't good enough to take it down quickly. But I don't know if that would work.
