The strategy has been responsible for many of my tourney game victories. :)

Somehow, people are 99.9% of the time caught completely off guard by it, even if the warning signs are all present.

Those assassins can be very damn powerful if used correctly. And I hadn't heard of this wagon assassin stuff, but now that I think about it it must be really effective, just go close to the enemy's super pumped-up Cave Troll with a wagon and make one of the assassins inside kill the troll, the enemy be like: "WGAT HOW DID U KILL MEH TROLL"
That one guy that disappears for 6 months then comes back and keeps doing it over and over.

Yeah basically, with wagons, assassins have a threat range of 9.

Some opponent's will realize something is up if you build a wagon and send it out with no troops though. I like to play mind games with my opponents to make them think they are not in danger. Load some fodder troops in the wagon, and send it is a strike team somewhere in range of where you want to hit. Drop your troops and act like its an attack. Enemy kills the troops, leaves the "uselss" wagon alone, and pompously thinks they repelled your puny attack, then the next turn you do that crazy 9 range kill and catch your opponent completely of guard and embarrassed as they realize they fell for the feint.

Interesting game so far. He is opting mostly for heavy knights, and has repelled my first wave so far. Multiple buffed zurgos are going to be a problem for him though, and they have effectively given me a nice shock infantry division without even having to get uruks. :)

Nice going. As if the cave troll doesn't count as "shock troops"

Don't feel like getting a screenshot right now, as I'm going to bed, but my game with Daniel is pretty hard. Unfortunately for me, he is playing undead, and his production grows every turn. It has been a large, evenly matched stalemate of a pitched battle for too long, and I'm seeing more bone dragons as he gets gravediggers. I fear I may not be able to break the stalemate before he begins out producing me.

I think the best strategy is to charge your army while surpotimg him constantly with new troops.
Sending waves will only let me surround and destroy your troops easily one by one....

You better try something soon, orcs have an absolutely insane late game since that's when upgraded uruks & ettin mass productions show up, both of which can be very troublesome to humans

You need to stop them from the left, and I think it is going to be hard enough to stop them from the right. There is a neutral TC,next to the green colour girl, near your healer.Be quick with your castles. His wolf rider, looks ready for hunt.Use Imperials.

Are you sure? Not like you're holding up any games right now. I'm not running a high speed tournament here, so I'm more than willing to let you take some time if you need.

Sunrise: 4711
Stratego: 3154

This point count is horribly misleading. I have a 1.5k lead, but he's the one in a better position right now.

Image

I've been taking way too long on my turns, so I've decided if he takes 2 tcs, 2 great trees, or one of each then it is time to resign. At that point I will not have the resources anymore to win, and I shouldn't hold things up anymore. Last turn he obviously took that as a challenge, since he got a good bombing run on 2 of my great trees in the south. Until then though, I still hope I may be able to beat back his onslaught.

No need. There's plenty of other ways to get them.

I can say I've learned a lot from this game, on both sides of elf and undead.

He said a month. That's long enough that even I am giving up hope at this point. Given the lack of warning, I'm going to guess real life happened to him somehow.
