Description:The Chinese fire arrow launcher or hwacha can fire a barrage of over a 100 arrows at a time, very useful against swarms of enemies
Cost 6
Requires gun powder tech
HP 20
Atk 20 (arrow type)
Armor 0/6
Range 6
Action 1
Speed 2
Builder: siege workshop, castle
Power range 2
Damage reduction 20% per tile (deals 16 damage to adjacent area, 12 damage to two tiles away from attacked tile)
miss chance: 10% * speed of target
I have used cannoneers as a base and made this a late game unit, with higher area damage in exchange for only archer range, it is more like a ballista on steroids than a slinger on steroids

I don't like 2 power range for it.

in terms of cost it is exactly equal to a cannoneer, but cannons have 8 range, this has 6, how about 1 action and 2 power range? and should it have some bonus against infantry?

Hm. 2 power range for it if it will have 1 action is fine.
As for bonuses i think it will annigilate any unit with low piercing armor anyway.

the best way to reduce its damage is to hole up 4 workers in a single tc so that only 1 dies, in which case ballista will b more effective than it
it might b especially effective against a huge army of many archers once the archers show their face, like the army u r using and I use against ships, only 2 pierce armor can save them from complete massacre

I know, basically u just extend one image to allow space for other layers, like my image size is 160x64, allowing 5 versions of the image to b drawn (I can extend it later to allow more versions) in this way u don't need to wry about shadows, layers or gifs, the game automatically shifts the image in steps of 32 PX right at a time, allowing other versions of the image to b shown at set interval, it is also actually easier to draw, but not easy to see the changes in variants

BTW I read that hwacha were also used by Koreans in naval to land warfare, basically shooting arrows to enemies on shore from their ships, so once the unit is implemented I want to suggest a tech that gives turtle ships one garrison space, and only allow hwacha to enter
probably the most late tech ever researched, gun powder, plus this tech, plus two 6 turn units that can't b built by workers, however they will b super effective against fire archer ambush in naval warfare
Also this way it can b different from other gun powder units like rebault, which can also b built by workers

The Chinese invented it, while Koreans reengineered it to use it on ships, they kind of had friendly relation I guess, this is y I want to suggest a tech to allow turtle ships to garrison this with one carrying capacity (but only after it is implemented in the first place)
