ok folks lets organize how we can handle a brand new nation, and how we can see what images we have and we have not.
- so in the first post of this topic i will put a "template" based on the current unitlist that we can call the "base unit roles"
- and in all "nation" topic first post we can summarize what we have already, which role is fulfilled or not.
- and in all other nation topic we can have the same "template" filled
maybe some nation will not have units for some roles (eg. Hungarians had no air carriers for sure)
- so we can strike out that "role"

you can put it into the infantry sction by renaming it to infantry & riders
what was their role? simply a faster "infantry"? or some other? eg. can we use them instead of a "jeep"? to occupy and explore FOG of war?

They were a Calvary like unit, but they did have rifles so they can be some sort of more powerful Scout with increased damage

Poland did not have a heavy tank other then the IS-2 and 3. But I believed they used after they were freed from germans or after the war.

i wrote there in first post "no heavy for poland".
BUT a came into my mind that some nations should not appear as separate nations (like Hungary or Poland), only as part of the Allies/Axis "group" nations.
The thing is i am not sure which nations had that detailed military unit type variations that we need to make a nation a "standalone" nation - that has all unit types other nations has to compete them within the game eg. in a multiplayer game.
my guesses without reading about it:
Idividual nations (that has all/most kind of weaponry)
- Germany
- Russia
- US
- England
- Japan
- France (?)
- Italy (?)
Only Allies/Axis groupmembers
- Hungary
- Poland
- Begium
- Slovakia
- Romania
- and so on.
any idea?
and please feel free to correct me because i have little knowledge of ww2 military participations - moreover the military details of each nation.

Your absolutely right! but Poland defended itself as a nation and also its regiments served in other countries and I also think once freed by the Russians I think they assisted (not sure, correct me if I am wrong)

I dont want to offend you, but you are totally wrong. Polish airforce and navy were crap, their infantry, tanks, artillery were crap as well and they didnt help at all.

Poland rarely enter any strategy ww2 game as a playable nation. I think it would be unique to have Poland in this game. Anyway Poland survive 1 month against Soviet Union and Germany with a very limited help. I salute the Polish home army.

Yeah. But we have only '39 army and later just partisants,so we wont have units that from logic point of view cloud deal with mostly '40-45 units in other nations. But a more unique units like polish uhlans (that have good image and stats already) can be in game.

I think that Franch force has more modern equipment, and that have all types of units,Poland will have no heavy tanks and not many tanks types at all. About partisants, there were topic about that somewhere, sombody suggasted it as soviet unit too.

Only around 10 day less than France with very limited help and two attacker (Soviet and Germany). The German also concentrate it's force to Poland.
The Polish resistance movement in World War II, with the Polish Home Army at its forefront, was the largest underground resistances in all of Nazi-occupied Europe,[a] covering both German and Soviet zones of occupation. The Polish defence against the Nazi occupation was an important part of the European anti-fascist resistance movement. The Polish resistance is most notable for disrupting German supply lines to the Eastern Front, providing military intelligence to the British, and for saving more Jewish lives in the Holocaust than any other Western Allied organization or government. --wikipedia
They do help beating German.
