Even in the space, they can spread like plague. Any contact with Myconid vessels or adrift spore bombs will have ‘guaranteed’ contamination and slowly lose strength.

Splash damage and ExPLösiVE is their most terrifying properties in space, they can post great threat to any compact formations - especially Insectoid swarm fleets.

I think that these guys should have a relatively weak navy, but will be able to use transports to get close to enemy ships and infect and take them over. Kind of like how the undeads in aof work.
