This is a machine gun unit that will be stronger as in health and have better damage on infantry as that is what the new weapon system is mostly for.

I don't see this as a brand new unit, but as a tech upgrade.

im just saying that this would be better as a tech that you could reserch in order to make infantry stronger. and i don't think that making a new unit for every small weapon would be a good idea.

This weapon has tech no other gun has tho and shoots a better round, it would be weird for it to be a upgrade but that's exactly what it is soo maybe i could make a new image for the upgrade holding the new weapon.

did you see how the tech images look in AoS? That is how they're supposed to look like.

its necessary because if it looks like hes just holding a normal m60 its not really a upgrade besides the stats

I think that it's too big.
Also actually, upgraded units are not much of a priority. We might have a ton of units on the time when the published version comes up so I don't prefer too many units. Plus, it might look weird that the game will get filled with mostly variants with only a little change on stats and some small image tweaks. So, I would prefer an upgrade tech instead.

But I don't know, it's up to you...

yeah upgraded units are on hold ik but this could be used later as i think its a good canidate it being new
i don't have experience creating tech images so i cant make it
nor do i feel like trying to resize the units someone else made

I suggest for the tech image is a 64x64 image of this gun you suggested here...
