Hmm...kinda agree with you because heavy trebuchet will have 11~12? Range after applied this tech. It can destroy factories more easily.

I will modify this practically
New tech: Artillary
Cost 7
Researched at advancement centre.
Gives siege units ability to do full damage to surrounding buildings in the Area of Effect instead of -%penalty.
Excludes trebuchets, hwachas, turtle machines
Includes catapults, battering rams, ballistas, cannonneers, fire rockets

Actually, I was wondering if not add techs to increase range by +1 for:
1. balista stand
2. catapult stand/balista siege mode
3. trebuchet stand
and with much less certainty:
4. normal ballista
5. cannon/cannonship
6. normal catapult/catapult ship
7. normal trebuchet
Of course not as one tech, but a little more separated, maybe into few groups.
Btw. heavy catapult with area damage researched having full damage in whole area of effect is even worse than 12 range trebuchet.
And neither of those will happen.

@Stratego (dev) This one should probably be marked as "IMPLEMENTED"? It got split in 3(4, if you count the ability-only version of hoop-and-stave): field ballistics, advanced ballistics and hoop-and-stave cannon construction.

Dear b2198,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It sounds like the new technology "Artillery" has been successfully implemented and split into several components, including field ballistics, advanced ballistics, and hoop-and-stave cannon construction.
Given that these developments have been realized, marking the thread as "IMPLEMENTED" would be appropriate. This will help other users quickly identify that the suggested technology has been integrated into the system.
We appreciate your input and engagement in our development process. If you have any further suggestions or feedback, please don't hesitate to let us know.
