Waterbug cruiser IMPLEMENTED

A large ship (I think the design should be based around irl waterbugs but not litterally look like them - no insect head for example, but the oval shape and slope on top would be nice) with large, mechanical, mandibles-like scythes in front, that allow it damage ships in melee, especially effective against smaller ships - so destroyers and down, ineffective against submarines.

How will it be better than an insectoid submarine? He will have many lives and that's it?

The submarines are more effective against cruiser and carriers, this ship will be best against destroyers. Yes, it will be tanky, and probably have a higher damage than the punching submarine, but higher cost and in shipyard only. Of course, it won't have the stealth.

I made something based from the first post in topic.

It needs to be a ship so I'd get rid of the legs. It should also be bigger I think and it needs to face the right.

Yes, for a crusier class, but, like the one I attached, you should get onto the second tile with the "length' of the ship (like the railgun cruiser in game does atm) but only with the height (so, for example, the guns on the attached grey battleship). Otherwise it will look wierd when the ship is near shore.

I think the shading and the waves could be improved. The cracks dont look quite right either.

This is meant to be a water only unit. It doesn't need legs.
Also I'm afraid the angle is too frontal, I don't think it will look right next to other units.

These are not legs, these are braids.

Translation issue I think - braids are a type of hair do.
I think I know what you mean though - it's another pair of scythes, the weapons of this ship, right? If so then that's totally fine.
I still think the angle might need some work though. Needs to be a little more side view (not fully of course).

Haha the translator didn't even translate your first sentence.
Maybe that's better?
