I don't really have any creative ideas for it, but insectoids need a way to move their units in a ship through large distance on water, so let's maybe just go with another ship. Maybe rather fragile and fast.

Does it have to be mechanical? Maybe a huge tadpole?

I would much prefer if it was mechanical. It can have it's shape based on a tadpole I guess, not that a tadpole is an insect, since it's just a young from of a frog.

Is the team color of insects red or orange?

Team colour? Team colour is the very particular colour that the engine converts to the players colour and its universal for all races. Perhaps you mean the colour pallate, like black for the humans or green for reptilian?
Well their units are brown, yet their vehicles are mostly grey, so you could use grey.

I noticed that most of the lizard cars have green backlights, what is the color of the backlight for insects, if any?

i dont really know what you mean, but theres basically no insectoid units in game, so youre free to choose the colour of backlights as you please.

Question: if the team color is closed with a transparent color, will it change or will it remain pink?

You mean if team colour is tranparent? Im not sure, but perhaps.

Well, if he is in the red team, will the front eye be completely red as the color of the team, or will it be red on top and pink under the water?

Hmm, I tested this on sting ray and the underwater version remains pink.

As you can see in the linked screenshot, it mostly remained pink, but the bit on the left is good.
