How to counter wolves pack

Playing against elf is pretty handful, how can I counter a pack of wolves?

Ranged units too. Just stack up whatever ranged units you have and fire at any dog that comes in your way. Defensive Towers are one of the options, and Flying units too like Drake knights or Eagle Riders.
Wolves are not strong, but when they come in groups, it can be annoying from then on. Assuming that opponent elf player has tons of wolf dens.
