Karl artilery (aow) ANSWERED

karl is artillery with the furthest range, so shouldn't it have superior range over normal artilery? like how the developers said in the unit descriptions?
currently its the same as normal artilery but worse.

where does it say that karl has a long range?
or could you be confusing it with the "schwerer gustav" which is not yet in the game the
