Currently only Fire Archer (whose burning effectiveness is inappropriate vs troll skirmisher due to the latter dodge arrow). So more fire unit is needed.

Quick solution is to give fireball ability to Elven caster, perhaps Sorceress.

No fireballs will be given to elves.
They are living in forests and fire is their main enemy.

Alas they will get other units with burning weapons — passive or activable.

Enchant burning to others also might become a thing.

If the problem is the burning effectiveness, then go ask to buff it a bit.

Fire archer is only one counter for troll skirmisher now. Try something like a unicorn cataphract. Shielded against the javelins and has a bonus against the skirmisher while having enough speed to catch it.

Not only actually.
Foot melee units have 100% bonus to foot throwers and 50% to throwers.

And blade dancer with jump and wagon can reach any headhunter, even behind some enemy forces or obstacles.

Lol, I've just been shooting them with fire archers with barkskin buff, and flyer's.
