Resources

I think the game should have resources in it (oil, rubber, manpower and money)

Normally, this happens even if there are no resources, but when there are no resources, we can constantly produce men and this disrupts the balance of the game.

Every time we advance tanks and planes, the oil will run low.
Let the soldiers be produced by man power (All units)
Tanks and planes want rubber when crafting
Let the man power be gained from the cities and money
Let RUBBER be produced in factories (Let's build)
And the oil is only found in certain squares (collected with Refineries)

That's sadly impossible for the current engine for this and all other ao variants, that's why all of them use turns as a resource. About the oil part, that would require for almost every maps to be change which might be a Hassel for the devs.
