Elven slow spell

Why does the elven slow spell permanently debilitate units? I have a troll that could move three spaces but can only move 1 now. Even after the spell wore off. Also, I don't understand why it completely stops movement.

@makazuwr32 do u know this spell - was this intentional? or shall we change / fix it some way?

its not only elves, slow/ice stays permanent with scaled too. in fact, there are several buffs and debuffs that do not expire when the indicator vanishes (hydra poison, acid, ice, several others). kronox is making a list as we play

maybe related: as dwarf i can sometimes use cleanse rune against slowing to get +20 speed and extra action

ive been posting screenshots of this stuff on discord and like i said, kronox working on more detailed list

ok!

however i need only one or two example as that are surely wrong (not need all)
also please check that one-two in a local game too so i know if only in multiplayer games it works wrong or in local games too.

by local game you mean skirmish mode correct?

yes, and important: playing it without quit and reopen (that makes a save like multiplayer games) so plamying without quitting the map (even for a few minutes)

Not sure what exactly has happened there but that is not how it should work for sure. There is also some other similar effects which have been broken recently and i am trying to figure out all problems right now.

If i correct we wanted to try effect behavior REPETITIVE_VANISHING_ENCHANTMENT. Might be related to it.

the key importance here to me if this is a
a) code problem (i made a bug accidentally, if so question in which update it came first)
b) or You and Savra changed something on these effects in jsons

any of you know which can be?

however if we have at least ONE such effect working properly than it is not a code problem - if ALL are working wrong than it is probably a code problem (huge problem ... ).
(as i know the scope here the "sticky" effects that changes unit stats and after wearing off the effects do not get removed.)

Can you check json file of slowing spell for now?
If it has REPETITIVE_VANISHING_ENCHANTMENT or not.

i see we have some slowing spells, anyone know which is that?
here are all files

i see most have ENCHANTMENT_VANISHING
and only EFFECT_SLOWING_1_REPEATABLE has REPETITIVE_VANISHING_ENCHANTMENT

i found another one called chilling weapon slowing
also uses ENCHANTMENT_VANISHING
