Upgrade for the armored warrior
It should have a lot more hp and armor

My stats:

Attack: 12
Hp: 32
Armor: 4
Pierce: 4
Speed 3
Sight 4

Daniel, what do you think about that?

Not bad. But keep it later. We shoiluld concentrate on new units like ettin. not their upgrades.

I love this idea. Orcs need defense vs ranged if they are going to suck at it. Elves currently destroy orcs and humans are capable of doing the same quite easy while undead just stun locks them with curse.

I made 2 steps, like the basic orc warrior

stats edit for the basic unit:

Upgrade 1 (heavy Armored Orc Warrior)

Cost: 3
Attack: 15
Hp: 44

Upgrade 2 (Ironclad Armored Orc Warrior)

Cost: 3
Attack: 18
Hp: 48
Armor: 6
Pierce: 6
Speed: 3

I love this idea since that after you upgrade the basic Orcs they are rendered obsolute.

Yes. This is the same thinking i have. We shouldn't treat basic units differently or we'll just end up using always the same low-cost upgraded units.

If i'm facing undeads i'll probably go with basic orc warriors to face their numbers, but if i'm going against elves i will probably have more chance to make my units survive by sending armored orcs, but only if i can upgrade them.

I have edited the stats a bit to balance with the crusher (both cost 3)

The proposal was made a long time ago so this is a bit more current.

I think I like a 3-4-5 progression on the armor, but otherwise, yes, this is very much needed to keep up with the basic orc warriors. Also​, can someone do something to help out zurgo helmsmasher as well, for the same reason?

It is mostly for pierce otherwise the crusher will be far better.

This was meant as anti archers with 3 armor when archers dealt 4/5 damages

Well, a 3-4-5 progression keeps it on par with even elf upgrades, but it might be an idea to have pierce armor 1 higher than normal armor.

No, elf upgrades raise attack by 3 so, starting from the original 3/3 it would be rebalanced ending up with a 6/6

I wouldn't make a third upgrade. All orcs units are balanced on a 3 level base so i would keep to balance them this way.

The only exceptions are uruk units but they were meant to have 3 level upgrades (same as the elven techs) but since it wasn't possible to make different bonuses we made 3 upgrade levels (with the third being very long. Altogether they are 27 turn worth of upgrades).

Also many units have been revised in those years (for example the elven infantry were much worse and costed 3) so I don't see a problem in revising the armored orc armor in a situation where we have many more armored units nd it is made with a specific purpose.
