Warmage - IMPLEMENTED

I think we might add that kind of unit. A fighter that can cast some buff spells.
I'd make it able to launch a ranged attack spell and some buffs

That should be an effective fighter and a support mage
I would give him a magic missile spell (a simple ranged attack), a spell called burning sword that gives bonus against wooden units and burning effect, a spell to increase attack or mmaybe a double attack spell. We might consider some healing but we already have templars.

Spells:
Lifelink (on self only)
Strenghten (on self only)
Burning Sword: add bonus against wooden units, attack inflict burning effect
Lightning Sword: Bonus against units with metal armors (or if you prefer attack might ignore armor), add a stun effect to attack (enemies speed is reduced or they can't attack, sort of effects similar to undead disabling effects)
Magic Arrow: Ranged Attack (range 5) If burning and/or lightning sword are active it add the special effect of the spells.

I liked the idea of showing both elements on the unit. I think it will have a stronger impact like it is.

i think it is much better with one sword.
and i think the animation could show the two elements on a single sword,
the animation should change the sword decoration from one to the other endlessly.

i think it is not bad in concept.
when you animate you need to consider these
1.
the movement must be faint, imagine you have 4 of these units and all moving all the time you see the gamearea, your eyes will need a movement that is so faint you see almost only when you look as the unit itself. (like a torch in a hand that is small and move s only a little)
- other examples are the firejaveliner ork, that has a torch and maybe could move a little smaller to be barely noticable
- spectral knight circle seems good, however i had no time to check in game
2. also specific idea on this image: the
transformation should not be like off-fireon-off-poweron-off-... but like this fireon-powerstartonfire-firefainstpowerrises-firevanishedonlypower-firestartspowerfaintsormoves-fireharderpowerisless-(andhereconnecting to current frame)
OR!
not turning of fire ever only "move" a few flame endings 1px back and forth, and having the power running over the flaming sword (but with the above mentioned faint movement)
but all over the animations you do are cool , some cases we will see only in-game if an animation perfect or not .

I see. With two blades that would have been much more easy. Are you sure we can't try a version with 2 swords but a more faint magical effect?

Btw, the unit is very costly, i don't think you''ll have more than 2 side by side in game, so we can dare more xD

Yeah not so good this wY.
Idea: almost constant fire. And only one power runs along the firing sword and wanishes at the end. Firing blade fire moves very little as it fires constantly.
