In AoS it is a solid tradition to vote for units that we will find in game. It is a nice thing cause allow players to choose the direction the game will go.
On AoF Vote will start soon and it is a good thing, but i think that if we don't find the right way to do it properly that might bring balance issue.
AoF is similar to AoS but yet it is different
In AoS when you put a unit in there is no balance issue if not among the units (like a new unit being useless and not being used at all, or a old unit made obsolete by a new one)
In AoF Adding a unit to a race will mean that this race as a unit more than the other.
In some cases that isn't a problem at all (a new kind of infantry, if balanced among the other present, generally present no issue as you just choose if using one or the other) but sometimes it might be (particularly strong units, new magical effects and so on).
What i'm suggesting about the voting is to make every month one or two units for every race so that every player, based on what he use, will know what he might need more and that no race stay without something, risking to be left behind by a race with many players (who would vote for that to have more options).
Tell me what you think.

Re: Vote and Balance
I like the idea for 1-2 units implemented for every races.

I dont feel it problem . The more units all race will have the less balance issue we will face. Also we can fix any balance issue by nerfing or buffing later

Re: Vote and Balance
It is true, but if a new unit give an advantage and you need to nerf it to rebalance the game, what is the point of adding new units?
Let's say that 3 human units win the vote and they make the human race stronger (that is what new implementations are for, after all). That would affect balance even if those new units aren't imbalanced at all. If we add one unit for every race (after reaching balance) we would add more options to everyone without normally imbalancing the game.

Sure. If we add more than one in one vote ( which i can not promise for every month) than yes, they should be in different race.
