Evil spirit is a cheap fragile undead unit that can possesse a corpse into a possessed skeleton. But the difference with normal skeleton is that when someone destroy the possessed skeleton, the evil spirit will be free. After the evil spirit is free you can possesse other corpse into possessed skeleton. Evil spirit costs 3 turns but move faster than the lich. Trained in crypt. So everytime you see an evil spirit you need to kill it first.

Can you kill the spirit if he's out of the skeleton?

Of course.

Maybe 2-3 arrows can kill it.
