Actually, would be a good thing nowdays, also the giant balista from Da'Vinci would be a cool thing to have aswell.

Description:
Once, a dwarf made a bet that he could build a crossbow capable of killing a dragon in one shot. The entire tavern was shocked to find this outside the next morning.

Nono. I don't like your idea, sunrise:
1. Way too hard to navigate and move this thing.
2. Dwarves already will have one movable 2x2 big thing.

May 1 action and can't shot next tile.

And NO such destructive machine to dwarf(Only)
Don't stole everything from humans what is tech related pls.

Medievalish mechanicals let stay for humans.

Dwarves are more steampunk and gunpowder in terms of tech.

For the humans, What i have for The giant ballista, is that it could be something that shoots once every 3 or 4 turns (due to its size, it is slow to reload... no cqc attack, up to 9 or 10 range, really slow speed, like just 1 speed, and that shoot can basically rip off to shreds anything slow or big enough like ships, giants and dragons.

Can we cut the cooldown to 1 - 2 cause as I see it
3 - 4 cool down needs to have high to extreme damage considering after words its useless and most likely get destroyed especially in multiplayer battles plus not many people are not gonna be willing to train with that huge Cooldown ( to risky ).
1 - 2 cool down with moderate damage seems more balanced. Wouldn't be to hard to protect until cool down over, and most people could probably get 2 - 3 shots off before its destroyed.

And even cooldown 4 seems fine for range 10 if unit will have for its attack some power range and decent damage (40+) with guaranteed kill of first target if it is non-mechanical (it can't target mechanical units).
Cooldown can be made as attack ability with cooldown.

It will be hard to destroy this because it will be far from enemy.

So high damage high Atk, and even with that range I feel like it would still be easy, for me and other experience players

Depends on. I see this as wagon unit which you deploy, shoot and retreat until cooldown will be finished.

With guaranteed kill of intended target and serious damage to other enemies in power range it will be really powerful. Maybe even more raise cost (to 12-14 turns) because it will annigilate big groups of small weak units.
Also its damage must not be able to dodge.

What changes will be at normal ballista firstly ?

May remove trample,or switch a range and target tipe, eg area dmg for infantry and single dmg for giant and dragon with significant bonus?

I prefer to see normal ballistas as they are in AoS firstly in aof. No changes at all.

Going off that picture, I'd say 2x2 is required. And I think there's no way to fit this in a wagon or building.

i'll prefer to name it "Arcane ballista"
Also 2x2 is too big still. real size of medieval catapults is nearly same (a bit smaller only). Some could even be bigger than that. But they still take 1x1 place and can be moved in wagon.
Also 2x2 size means that this thing must be of comparable size as Castle/Temple/Volcano/Kingdom. i don't think it is really of that size.
