I have stopped plannning this version since we probably have copyright problems, but if anyone can help me get permission on namings/theme than we can continue it.

(in help i mean to find a way/form where to request permission - lucasarts/disney i presume...)

Or it can be renamed to "Age of SciFi" and all units renamed and redesigned.

Should we try to change up the game, so that it is not based off Star wars, but either of our own ideas or some other sci-fis where we won't get sued?

Or just discard it.

The best idear I can think of is to maby transfer it to age of UFO, which is technically already a Sci fi age of strategy, and scrap the star wars thing because you won't ever get it released unless you get copyright permission, which ain't gonna happen by the way.

As with Warcraft strategy, I'm starting to think there's nothing left to cannibalize here. I've been looking, but anything useful has already been suggested in the current sci-fi version project. I think it's safe to archive this whole project (though I still find it fun to play the ai in space battles, since the pilot version is good for that at least :D)

Guys what about simply adding 2 factions in AoU like

Rebel knights (jedis)

Dark empire (siths)

You need to avoid thing that are too explicit but you might retain the concept

Sounds interesting, but I actually like where AoU is going. Star wars, while appearing racially diverse, places too much emphasis on human characters. 90% of the rebel alliance was made of humans, with non-humans only being in a few command positions (it's a trap  ) and the republic/empire used exclusively humans (yes, the species is technically mandelorian clones, but there's no difference)

I'd rather keep our races in AoU separate, as full races, instead of more humans than anything else.
