Shield wall (Spartans and Romans)

One thing about the Spartans is that they had a defensive formation called the shield wall where they would put there shields long ways in a line. The Romans had a similar formation called the turtle where they huddled up in a rectangle and the first line if front would keep their shields regular then the lines behind the first would put their shields up, on top of their heads. What if we had that in aos! Maybe a tech might be needed, share your thoughts!!!

The Romans had the turtle, the Spartans had the shield wall and Alexander the great had well I don't know how to say it but it was very effective.

"Shield wall" is more like Vikings formation.
Spartans, and all Greeks at general, fought mostly in phalanx formation-the stand close to themselves,so shield of every solider covers next soldier, with spears straight forward.
Is that what you mean?
Roman formation, testudo (turtle in Latin),was rather different. Current legion training works fine as it.

Yes you have it right but the shield war and phalanx formation are two different things I think that when two Spartans are in a line they should have added damage and armor.

Yes "gok" cost 6 for Spartans will be needed for this to be of any affect in a game.
