Soviet combat aircraft with most powerful armor and weapons during the whole WW2.
Had 64 mm armor everywhere (even on wings) and was called by german pilots "Betonflugzeug" ("Concrete Plane").
From weapons had 2 40-mm guns with 150 bullets for each and on wings other 2 15-mm guns with 750 bullets for each.
Had after modifications another gun to cover itself in behind for second pilot 12.7 mm with 300 bullets.
Against ground targets had bombs (4-6).
The most massive combat aircraft in the whole history - it was released more than 36 thousand pieces and 10'000 of them during WW2.

Messershmidts couldn't do ANY damage to them - there was one episode when 15 messershmidts attacked 1 IL-2 and shot all that they had to it and it still easily flied after to home airport. After counting it had from all of them more than 8'000 (!!!) shots inside its armor.
But it had much less speed than Messershmidts: IL-2 Maximum speed is 414 km/h compare with Messershmidt BF.110 542 km/h.

But we have it in game,I think that planes are not yet put through XML (?) it has less armor than focke-wolf currently. Btw,you wrote it had 64mm armor,I think you mean 6-4mm.

Least armor it had 64mm. Some modifications had more than 80mm.
And yes they were real frying fortresses that even the most powerful anti-air (37 and 45mm) guns couldn't shoot them down.
Later modifications could even withstand few direct hits from rockets (5-7) and still be able to fly.

Also back of the plane had at least 80 mm armor. and some modifications had more than 90mm.

I think IL-2 id already in,it is between bomber and the weaker fighter of USSR

"Between bomber and weaker fighter" lol. That's a close air support plane,its supposed to kill ground targets while not being defendlees in air fight,but it's weaker than fighters in destroying aircrafts. Preety much what IL-2 should be.

It must have much more armor and health, great attack but less speed.
And it's only issue in using it as fighter was its speed only. Other than that it had grsat firepower, higher than any other aircraft.

okay this plane will be added, but we need an image first, In my opinion this plane would be a formidable enemy to the p-47 thunderbolt. (viewtopic.php?f=198&t=5077) The heavy armor is no joke, but when the Germans got the 30mm canons according to this forum https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13 ... il-2-take/ this plane was easy to take down by fighters, which was no surprise to me at first.
But on the bright side, this would make a great plane at attacking ground and sea units.

Yes with 30mm Nazi could at least fight with IL2 but they couldn't take it so easy as it says on that forum.
90% of all losses of this planes were losses by bad piloting, not by enemies.
It is really hard to pilot such heavy plane.
And remember that IL2 had
1. 2 40mm guns and 2 15mm guns.
2. second seat for a gunner to shoot back into enemies with 12.7mm.
3. Yes these 30mm guns at least could damage IL2. But it wasn't like 152mm cannons Su 152 vs tigers when they could shoot through the whole tank and even damage second one behind first.
These guns could damage only specific places of IL2 (also Nazis knew which ones) as for example wings (place where they are connecting with main corpus).

It was weak because of its speed, not because of its weapons or armor.

In 1v1 and 1v2 fights usually IL2 was winner with either killing or retreating enemy fighters. But with more of enemy fighters they needed to retreat.

So this plane should not have a big bonus against planes.

So i think it these stats compaed to messershmidt will be more real:
cost 6
hp 36
power 17
speed 7
sight 6 (so on unexplored map they will have speed 6)
armor 6

Planes i think must not be able counter attack.
Only after upgrade "Back gunner" they can get 1 Counter to do 50% of their damage regardless of unit to whch it will do damage, counts armor (for example this one will do 8 damage)

if planes can counter attack than hp must be a bit lower.

The stats here are a bit over the top. How about like this..

If you like your stats we need more cost and less power.

I hope that planes don't have counter attack.
Speed must be 6 or 7, not lower, because it wasn't SO slower than messershmidt (and it has right now 9 speed).
Sight can be 6 or 5 (lower by 1 than its speed).
Also remember that he has no additional damage against other planes.
And other fighter planes have against it.
Other stats are fine.
And maybe only bonuses against infantries and vehicles.

And it really was much tougher than messershmidt.

I like the stats for the bonus a against ground the speed to me is a bit much, how about 7?
