unit: dragon IMPLEMENTED

Race: All.

Cost: 20 turns.
The strongest unity of the game. The dragon could move to every place of the map in 1 movement. And, of course, all attack bonus. But they would have a debility, I think the healers are a good option, so they can have a 200% bonus to attack dragons.

Well, you can complete the attack points and HP.

Tell me what do you think about it.

Hi,
This unit will be like the tie fighter-only stronger and with
More movement.
And many people hate the tie fighter.
I think a dragon shouldn't be as strong as you want.
And bonuses against all units dosent make sence.
You can only grade up his attack damage.

Please play the actuall fantasy version to know wich race can
Have a bonus against him.

I think it would be cool to have a dragon unit.. maybe not AOS but possibly on AOF

they can come, only we need to know which race can have dragons.

What if there was a dragon for each race.. like a skeleton dragon for the undead .. an ugly orc looking dragon for the orcs. Some type of elvish dragon. And a traditional dragon for the humans

Undead: Skeletal dragon (Poisoning melee attack, death-breath attack instead of fire, but lowest hp)
Human: Red Dragon (Strongest melee damage, otherwise ok all round)
Elf: Golden Dragon (Strongest fire breath damage, lowest armor and faster slightly)
Orc: Armored Dragon (Highest armor and pierce armor, but can't fly)

Just some ideas...

i am not sure all races should have dragons - is it a good direction having all races dragons? do they all "really" can handle dragons?
(i thought
- one living race should has it - who is written in fantasy books they usually have,
- and maybe undead can reanimate a dead dragon to skeleton dragon
this was my idea
)
am i in a wrong path?

I thought of a possible approach...
Maybe there are dragons who spawn in naturally in maps, like animals, and you need to make a unit called the "dragon masterer" woman convert a dragon, more likely the lower it's hp.
New tech dragon mastery allows this
New tech advanced mastery makes this easier.
Maybe different types of dragon - gold is strongest, then black, then red, then brown...
Ps. Don't be afraid to say it's a rubbish idea...

I usually see more humans making dragon knigts and such stuff
Orcs might have other stuff like a giant
Elves might have treants
Undead might have corpse golems

I (personally) imagine dragons in the way Ollie suggested.

i am not convinced about the concept - isnt there a fantasy rulebook mentioning dragons ? so which race can train a dragon?

Dragons ARE fantasy
you can't have a fantasy game without dragons!

Rulebook? Im not aware of one, the only fantasy media that I know of that put s Dragons into a fraction is skyrim. There are "dragon priests" (long dead) that worshiped the dragons when they still roamed skyrim, when the dragons returned, the priests rose from the dead to worship once more. So I suppose we could create a similar alliance?

sure i also want them, i am only not sure which race should have them, or the "all races have them concept".
There are "dragon priests" (long dead) that worshiped the dragons
so the undead race should have the dragons?

I think that undeads should just have undead dragons (skeletal dragon, zombie dragon).
Humans should have dragon knights (knights mounted on dragons) with a double attack (one for the knight and the other for the dragon)
I don't see orcs or elves close to dragons. They might have other stuff (Hippogryphs knight for the elves, and ugly stuff for orcs)

Well, kind of (as far as skyrim goes anyway) although the dragons where never under there control, its the closest "dragon based fraction" I can think of. Other than that, dragons are usually pictured as solitary creatures.

There is no rule for who has dragons. In one book I read, only the ancient Valheru could ride them, while in another they were as easy as riding a flying donkey. (every one can ride them)
This basically means you can do whatever you want with dragons, and personally I would prefer for everyone to be able to ride them. Like my 4 x previous comment.

ok, i have consulted my friend having great fantasy experience and here are his suggestions:
1. undeads surely can have skeletal dragons (so i think the zombie dragons too - mentioned above), and the necromancer can absolutely control his dragons.
2. elves can have "nice" dragons as their allies, protecting together the woods and other animals, but they can not actually "control the dragon" but they can have common interests/enemies, so can work together
3. humans also can have "nice" dragons helping them if they have common enemies, but they can not actually "control the dragon" but they can have common interests/enemies, so can work together
4. orcs can not control a dragon, however an evil dragon can have the orcs as slaves for him, orcs bring him foods and can show sacrifices to the dragon.

from these i have these ways i can imagine (or drop here new ideas u have)

Undeads (they are controlling their dragons):
version a) a new necromancer unit can summon a dragon from skeletons (eg. from 3 skeleton), player can control the dragon.
version b) a new necromancer unit can summon a dragon from nowhere (sekeltal, or undead dragon), player can control the dragon
version c) a new necromancer unit can summon a dragon from only dragon corpses
(in all versions:) the lich can also reanimate a previously living but killed dragon skeleton, but its chances: 60%: weak dragon (like a babydragon), 30%: normal dragon, 10%: strong dragon.

Elves, Human:
version a) they can control the dragons: in a new building, or a new unit can produce/summon a dragon (with 3-5 vanishing), and player can control it.
version b) they can NOT control the dragon: a new unit can summon a dragon (every eg. 10 turns, or with vanishing 5-7) that has the player's coloring BUT CAN NOT be controlled, the dragon will attack by itself searching all enemies around!

Orcs
they can NOT control the dragon: a new unit can summon a dragon by sacrificing 4 adjacent units (every eg. 6 turns, or with vanishing 7-9) that has the player's coloring BUT CAN NOT be controlled, the dragon will attack by itself searching all enemies around!

which version u like?

Undead C (they can summon their dragon right in the face of the enemies)
Human A Training dragons in a building
Elves A Calling a dragon for help (for a limited time)

Orcs... maybe they migh produce dragons too if they sacrifice units or kill a certain amount of enemies (as a sacrifice)

I'd prefer the idea of wild dragons, for orcs, elves and humans and resurrecting dragons for undead, as in my previous comment.

I like undead dragon but human and elf dragons don't really fit in, and you cant make them out much. a little tweaking should do.
