A cheap german unit, usually they were somewhat well equipped, led by hardened soldiers but mainly made up of old men and teenagers.

It will be in to help Germany lacks of manpower. German Infantry only has 32 hp, but very well equipped (pzfaust, grenade, at grenade). Volksgrenadier will be a bit less equipped and power but more hp.

I was wondering on everyones thoughts on this.

It could be a good addition to the German Infantry.
Here is picture for image inspiration, if anyone wants to make an image.
However, we will have to make this fit in the game. I doubt it will unbalance the game, but it could look strange for the Germans to have an extra infantry unit.

How about classic infantry stats, but with one cost?

Despite having less soldiers than normal Infantry divisions, the Volksgernaiders, being trained to fight a defensive war, were able to effectively delay the Allied advance in Germany. They were comprised mainly of former members of the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, and were put under the command of experienced veterans of the war.
I wouldn't consider them spam units, rather I think of them as a defensive alternative to regular infantry.
Based on this, I would give them these stats:

Cost: 2
HP: 40
Attack: 7
Everything else the same as regular German infantry.

I agree. Volksgrenadier is meant to fill Germany lacks of infantry in late war. Not as well equipped as the normal infantry in game (no pzfaust and less attack).

A German Unit at a late stage of ww2, Similar to the more popular Volkssturm the members were drawn in action.
The difference between the two types were, that the Grenadiers were former soldiers with military education and Trainings. They mostly consisted of soldiers from the Wehrmacht wich were wounded before und sent home for recovering.
The equipment comprises of Stg.44, Mp 40, semi-automatic rifles like the Kar.43 and the regular Kar.98, Panzerfaust and Einstossflammenwerfer (last ditch flamethrower).

It could be a possible Upgrade for the already existing Unit Volkssturm. With higher Speed and fighting abilities.
